It has been decided to apply the reinforced concrete Incremental Launching Method in the Approach Viaducts that will connect the main bridge with the landside motorway sections, considering the savings this methods will bring in terms of time and finance, along with restrictions such as preventing any interruption to the traffic flow beneath.

The launching slope, weight and interaction with main bridge construction phases have been calculated, while it has been designed in such manner that some part of the reinforced concrete section will be “cast-in-place” once the bridge has reached its final position, rather than casting the whole section on the precast site. The sections that will be cast in the parts in question will be constructed using a cantilever form traveller specially designed for the project.
