İhsaniye Viaduct, being part of the North Marmara Highway (KMO) - 2 Project, has been completed by Freysaş Freyssinet through Incremental Launching and opened to traffic.

North Marmara Highway Project tendered out through build-operate-transfer model with the aim to reduce the transit traffic load by diverting the traffic volume in Istanbul’s city center to the northern part of the city was undertaken by “Marmara Otoyol İnşaatı A.O. Ticari İşletmesi”. The companies assigned for the project’s European side and Anatolian side were “Avrupa Otoyolu Yatırım ve İşletme A.Ş.” (Kalyon-RSY-Pak Yatırım) and “KMO Anadolu Otoyolu İşletme A.Ş.” (Limak-Cengiz-Kolin), respectively.

The project consisting of Kınalı-Odayeri and Kurtköy-Akyazı sections including the 3rd Bosporus Bridge has a total length of 430 km, of which 58 km are link roads.

Under the project, İhsaniye Viaduct connecting the roads of Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge with the main highway route on the access route of New Istanbul Airport on the European side was constructed by Freysaş using the innovative and fast “Incremental Launching Method”. The works carried out by Freysaş under the project included supply and applications of ILM design and post-tensioning materials, supply and assembly of expansion joints, bearings and dampers, and also the reinforced concrete design and implementation of decks and abutments.
