“DİM RIVER EXTRADOSED BRIDGE” Completed...
“The 2nd Extradosed Bridged of the Mediterranean is completed”
Çallı Bridge - Turkey’s first extradosed bridge constructed in the city center of Antalya in recent years - has received great recognition with its 80 m main span, elegant design, impressive gauge solution and fast construction, and has marked the beginning of a whole new era capable to answer Turkey’s requirements for high and fixed gauges at wide spans. Initially designed with precast girders, the bridge design was converted into an extradosed bridge thanks to the contributions made by Freysaş’ technical department, and once constructed, received several awards from various professional organizations…
Subsequent to this project, based on the fact that the work was completed before the contractually agreed time and the high level of satisfaction the outcome created on part of both the administration and contractor, it was decided that the same method be used in the Alanya Dim River project located within the boundaries of the General Directorate of Highways 13th Region in Alanya province. Characterized by a double reverse curve in plane, this project is highly challenging in terms of its geometry owing to the tunnels located at both the entrance and exit parts of the bridge. Freysaş’ scope of responsibility in the project includes Extradosed Bridge design support services, supply and implementation of post-tensioning materials, Extradosed Bridge implementations, and also supply and installation of mechanical bearings, LRB building elements and expansion joints.
